Sponsor Case Study - Southern Vermont Regional Marketing Organization (SVRMO)

Southern Vermont Regional Marketing Organization (SVRMO) sponsored Strolling of the Heifers at the Platinum level and boy was it worth it. Beside the RMO's website and quartly magazine, this sponsorship became the RMO's single most important promotional tool and continues to pay dividends even today.

Sponsorship benefited the RMO by:

• positioning the RMO and the RMO website (southernvermont.com) front and center in print and broadcast media around the country and around the world.
• increasing traffic to the southernvermont.com including trippling the number of unique vistors to the site on June 5 after a segement on Good Morning America (ABC Network)
• helping the RMO forge lasting partnerships with corporate sponsors who in turn now sponsor the RMO.
• opening the door to media partnerships and helping forge lasting relationships with major media outlets.
• establishing the RMO as a progressive organization that cares about sustainable agriculture and the future of Vermont farms.
• promoting opportunities with the Sate of Vermont, The Vermont Welcome Center, historical societies, libraries, artists, merchants and farmers in New England.
• promoting ideas important to the RMO including the value of small towns, rural life and sustainable agriculture.
